Economy : Is Mass Rapid Transit company making profit ?

There is an argument about how Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) in Malaysia can make profits.

According to the information of Paultan org on 2018 March, the profit margin is :

Ridership on the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system is averaging around 140,000 passengers a day, but the rail project is still some way away from any profitability. According to deputy finance minister Datuk Othman Aziz, it will need to meet a target of 250,000 passengers on a daily basis to break even, Bernama reports.

Therefore, should Malaysia stop running the line and change to Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) or on bus lanes as suggestion by Anak Pinang blog suggested.
