Thailand : First parliament meeting on 3rd July 2023

The first session of parliament meeting in Thailand is schedule on the 3rd of July this year.

Though the prime minister candidate, Pita Lamjaroenrat was confirmed having Covid, however, he believed that he could be recovered before the parliament session beginning.

Thailand's election result has been confirmed, but it remains unclear exactly who will lead the new government and secure the coveted position of House Speaker. The Move Forward Party won the most number of House seats, followed by Pheu Thai, Bhumjaithai, Palang Pracharath and United Thai Nation -- the party of outgoing prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. The new parliament must convene within two weeks to elect a new House Speaker, who will then set a date for a joint-assembly vote on the country's new prime minister.
