Geopolitics : China, USA and Taiwan

 

The new relationship between Lithuania and Taiwan is facing pressure from China.

However, USA has openly showed the support for Lithuania opening the embassy in both countries, though China does not recognize Taiwan as a country but rather a province of China.

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman has stressed the support when she spoke with the foreign minister of Lithuania.
