However, the former ruling party, Pakatan Harapan (PH) was not invited. This showed that the majority of votes were in the other group, yet to be know as Pakatan Nasional (PN) or other name later.
The ex-prime minister, Dr Mahathir whose resignation caused this political change said that his party, Pejuang (Worriors ) would support Anwar Ibrahim.
He also said that his party would work with the PN too. This meant that he would go for the ruling party. As he said that, neither group is good enough. He always mentioned other people are weak.

The meeting with the King in the palace would probably end in the late afternoon as the King would meet the members of parliament per party.
