The site of copper mine has 2500 years archaeological information including Buddha artifacts.
The current Taliban fighters want to protect it before allowing the copper to be minded.
If someone could tell the Taliban earlier, that Buddhism is not a religion, would Taliban blew the statutes ?
Many people do not know that Buddhism is not classified as a religion. If you searched online, Buddhism is not a religion, you would find lots information, including Dalai Lama mentioned about it.
