Singapore : Racial discrimination still there

 

Human being has same ancestors but later, the changing of skin colour , thus discrimination begins.

Why ?

It is partly due to the British colonial system.

The rental market in Singapore is not equally accessible to all races. Some Indian tenants in Singapore face discrimination renting as prospective landlords screen them based on race. As the pandemic draws out, the rental market is booming with an increasing pool of renters - permanent residents or long term pass holders returning to Singapore, or Malaysian workers who cannot travel between borders due to travel restrictions. However, for some it’s not always easy finding their unit of choice.

VICE World News speaks with those who face difficulties renting in multiracial Singapore.
